Tuesday 12 March 2013, 08.30-10.00
New Economy Boardroom, 6th Floor, Churchgate House, Oxford Street, Manchester M1 6EU
The Northern Economic Futures Commission was established in July 2011 to spearhead an ambitious programme of activity and research to look at critical issues facing the economy of the North. It has set out a new approach to local and regional economic policy, driven by decision-makers in the North of England.
At this briefing Ed Cox, director of IPPR North, will present the findings and recommendations from the Commission’s final report ‘Northern Prosperity is National Prosperity’, including a 12-point plan for growth. Baron Frankal, director of economic strategy, New Economy, will chair the briefing and Miranda Barker, managing director, Allan Environmental Solutions, will offer her thoughts on the report’s findings.
