This Juncture event will discuss the decline of the 'one nation' tradition in the modern Conservative party and Ed Miliband's attempt to claim the mantle for Labour.

Speakers are:

Professor Tim Bale, the leading academic expert on the Conservative party, and author of much-discussed essay on the death of the Tory left
Marc Stears, IPPR visiting fellow and a leading figure in developing new thinking on the centre-left
David Skelton, deputy director and head of research at Policy Exchange
