Our House? Should the House of Lords be moved north?
This event is held in partnership with the House of Lords as part of Parliament Week 2012 and aims to provide an insight of the House of Lords as well as exploring how it can best represent the North East region.

As part of a two day visit to the North East, The Lord Speaker Baroness D’Souza will give a fascinating lecture on the role of the House of Lords – its day to day work, its variety of Members, and the changes that have taken place in the House over the last century
This will be followed by an IPPR North Debate: Should the House of Lords be moved north?
The speakers in the debate will be:

• Alastair Clark (University of Newcastle)
