Associate Director (UK public policy)
Associate Director (UK public policy) – c. £45,000 p.a + benefits
For two decades the Institute for Public Policy Research (ippr) has been influencing change through rigorous policy analysis and research. We are seeking a Associate Director with solid research and analytical skills combined with an interest in policy making and a passion for changing the world to join our highly-respected research team.
Driven by the desire to change the world, you will have already gained a reputation for your work in at least one area of UK public policy, such as social policy or public services. Your background is less important than your skill set: you may come from working on the front line of public services, in the private, public or voluntary sector, from academia, journalism or local government. What’s important it that you are an accomplished networker, experienced people and project manager and confident communicator. Above all, you will have a knack for spotting the most important trends and questions, and experience of using analysis and research to help find the answers. (REF:AD/OCT)

Senior Economist – c. £45,000 p.a. + benefits

We are seeking an Senior Economist with solid research and analytical skills combined with an interest in policy making and a passion for changing the world to join our highly-respected research team.
Rarely has it been more important for policymakers to understand the economic forces that shape our society. You will have sufficient technical expertise to understand the causes and dynamics of the current economic turmoil. Of equal importance will be your ability to discern the key lessons for policymakers and communicate ideas to a wide audience. We want someone who thinks in numbers and writes in prose; someone who can hold their own amongst specialists but can explain their ideas to non-specialists. (REF: SE/OCT)
