Graeme Cooke

Graeme sets the strategic direction for IPPR's overall research programme.

Graeme has published work across a range of economic and social policy issues, including employment, welfare, childcare, housing and pensions. Before rejoining IPPR in October 2010, Graeme was head of the Open Left project at thinktank Demos, and previously worked as expert adviser to the work and pensions secretary between 2008 and 2009. Prior to that he was a research fellow at IPPR and has also worked for the Local Government Association and 4Children.

Graeme is a member of the Islington Employment Commission and also volunteers with people who are long-term unemployed and looking for work. He appears regularly on national broadcast media and has written for a range of newspapers and websites.
