Will Straw summarises the discussion and debate that unfolded at the high-level breakfast event held at the World Economic Forum in Davos to launch The third wave of globalisation, IPPR's major new report.

Participants in the discussion, most speaking under the Chatham House rule, addressed international rule-making, the competitive threat of 'third-wave' globalisation, the challenges of providing social 'safety nets' for people affected by globalisation, and the role of post-crash finance in fostering economic growth.
