Families and Work

The current economic and political landscape provides an opportunity to consider the future of the welfare state. Many of its foundations are being challenged by demographic, societal and technological trends. These trends are also altering our relationships: between citizen and state, between work and care within families, and between communities. IPPR’s research in this area will focus on the future of the welfare state and its impact on everyday lives.
