Politics and Power

Public trust in politicians and participation in politics have fallen to new lows. This gap between the public and politics runs deep and IPPR believes it can only be sufficiently addressed by understanding the wider social and cultural conditions that a healthy and vibrant democracy requires to flourish. IPPR’s research includes broadening the reach of democratic politics through political and constitutional reform, alongside our work on political culture, identity and citizenship.
