Jenni is a regular commentator on issues to do with public policy with a special interest in local government, communities and economic development in the North of England. Her articles have appeared in the Guardian, Inside Housing, Public Servant and Public Finance.

Before joining IPPR North in 2010, Jenni was a Research Associate and studied towards a PhD at the Centre for Urban Policy Studies (CUPS) at the University of Manchester. She continues to hold a post-doctoral research affiliation with CUPS. Her previous career includes various positions in local government and housing in Greater Manchester.
