Before joining IPPR in 2010, Joanne was PA to the Headteacher, Office Manager and Clerk to the Governing Body at one of the country’s largest comprehensive schools.

Prior to moving to Newcastle, Joanne spent a number of years living in the Netherlands Antilles, where she was a school governor and secretary of a local fundraising group. Joanne studied Business Studies and Languages at Ealing College, London.
