Jon Worth
Associate Fellow
Jon is a specialist in EU politics and relations between the EU and the UK.
His blog – www.jonworth.eu – has examined the politics of the European Union for more than five years, with a particular focus on the accountability of the European Parliament and European Commission, and the EU's transport, environment and budgetary policies. His background in website design means he is particularly interested in how European political systems adjust to the era of mass internet use.
Jon works as a freelance training consultant and website designer and is a visiting lecturer at Sciences-Po Lille, Institut des hautes études internationales et du développement, Geneva and Hertie School of Governance, Berlin. He previously worked at National School of Government in London, explaining to British civil servants how the European Union works. He has spent five years of his life living in Belgium and has worked in the European Parliament.
He speaks French and German as well as English, and holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Merton College, Oxford, and a MA in European Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe, Bruges.
