Natalie is the chief executive of Think Ahead, a new organisation aiming to improve the lives of people with mental health problems through a fast-track recruitment and training programme into mental health social work.
Natalie joined IPPR from the Department for Education, where she developed policies on academies and 'regional schools commissioners'. She was previously a civil servant at the Department for International Development, the Treasury and the Number 10 Policy Unit, and an assistant director of social services at Lewisham Council. Natalie holds a postgraduate diploma in psychotherapy and is a trustee of Hope and Homes for Children. She holds a degree in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford University and a master's degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School.
