Nicky is a communications and framing expert. She advises IPPR on how its work can shift societal narratives and build support for progressive policy.
She works with a range of organisations, exploring and changing the ways social and environmental issues are framed in public discourse. She previously led the FrameWorks Institute’s UK portfolio, investigating public understanding of poverty, health, the economy and the environment. She spearheaded Joseph Rowntree Foundation's award-winning Talking about Poverty project, working closely with JRF and the wider UK poverty sector to shift the national conversation about poverty in the UK. Prior to that Nicky led communications teams at Friends of the Earth and Save the Children.
Nicky holds a BA in English and postgraduate qualifications in marketing and public relations.
