Kike is Head of the Co-Mission for the Future and Purpose of Education.
Kike joined IPPR on a part time basis in March 2021 and works on the Co-Mission alongside her role as National Programme Director for Researchers in Schools at university access charity, The Brilliant Club. In this role she leads the charity’s PhD career changer teacher training programme and sits on the senior leadership team. She has recently set up an affinity group for staff from ethnic minorities.
Kike is a trustee of the Economist Educational Foundation which supports young people to have discussions about the news and current affairs.
Kike is a qualified science teacher and has held management and leadership roles in a range of education organisations including SSAT, Teach First and Birmingham Science Museum. She has an education-focussed MBA from Keele University. She has expertise in school improvement, teacher CPD, social justice and leadership development.
