Jess Search is chief executive of the BRITDOC foundation, which works with independent documentary filmmakers tackling ambitious stories all over the world. With offices in London and New York, BRITDOC works in partnership with Ford Foundation, Bertha Foundation, BBC and Sundance Institute to help filmmakers complete ambitious work that can have major impact on individual lives and on communities and societies. Credits since 2005 include CITIZENFOUR, Virunga, The Look of Silence, The Square, Dirty Wars, No Fire Zone, The End of the Line and Black Gold.
Previously, Jess was a Channel 4 commissioning editor and the co-founder of Shooting People.
She has an MBA from Cass Business School and is also a trustee of international birth control provider Marie Stopes International.
