Building Britain's future? The construction workforce after Brexit
The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) is delighted to invite you to our event 'Building Britain's future? The construction workforce after Brexit'. This will take place on Thursday 30th November, 12.00-13.30 at Landsec, 80 Victoria Street, SW1E 5JL.
The construction workforce already faces significant skills shortages, and it has become increasingly reliant on EU migrant workers to meet skills needs.
Our report, supported by the British Property Federation and Landsec, will highlight the scale of the skills challenges facing the industry, the massive potential impact of ending freedom of movement on the sector, and the measures that need to be taken to ensure that we can still build the homes, commercial property and infrastructure that we need post-Brexit.
