Clear Bright Future with Paul Mason
The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) is delighted to invite you to a talk with award-winning writer, broadcast and film maker Paul Mason following the release of his book Clear Bright Future: A Radical Defence of the Human Being.
This will take place on 28th May, 4:30-6:00pm at IPPR 14 Buckingham Street, London WC2N 6DF.
In the next century we are going to be asked: on what basis do you, the human race, claim control over intelligent machines? Unless we revive belief in agency, rationalism and universal rights, we are going to find that a very difficult question to answer.
In conversation with Tom Kibasi, Director of IPPR, the former Channel 4 and BBC Newsnight economics editor will explore the questions put forward in his latest call for resistance, from economics to Big Data, from neuroscience to the culture wars.
