Tees Valley & County Durham Climate Fairness Panel
As part of the work of our Environmental Justice Commission, IPPR is holding a series of workshops across the UK, bringing local people together to come up with ideas for a fair response to the climate and nature emergencies.
For the first in the series, we are recruiting a group of 23 people from across the Tees Valley & County Durham. The diverse group will come together over seven online sessions to discuss the question:
What practical steps should we take together in Tees Valley & County Durham to address the climate crisis and restore nature in a way that is fair for everyone?
The panel's recommendations will be published as part of a local plan for Tees Valley and County Durham. The findings will be presented to local politicians and decision makers, and will influence the work of our major national cross-party Environmental Justice Commission. The Commission is developing policies and ideas that put people and fairness at the heart of the response to the climate and nature emergencies.
Alongside the Panel, we will be holding a survey to collect views and ideas from a wider group of people across the area. Click the link below to take part:
