Thurrock Climate and Fairness Panel

As part of the work of our Environmental Justice Commission, IPPR is holding a series of workshops across the UK, bringing local people together to come up with ideas for a fair response to the climate and nature emergencies.

This winter, we are recruiting a group of 23 people from across Thurrock. The diverse group will come together over eight online sessions to discuss the question:

What practical steps should we take together in Thurrock to address the climate crisis and restore nature in a way that is fair for everyone?

The panel's recommendations will be published as part of a local plan for Thurrock. The findings will be presented to local politicians and decision makers, and will influence the work of our major national cross-party Environmental Justice Commission. The Commission is developing policies and ideas that put people and fairness at the heart of the response to the climate and nature emergencies.
