Wellbeing Conference: making measures matter

With the ONS recently publishing the UK's first annual subjective wellbeing data, this timely conference will ask the question how can we ensure wellbeing measures are influential in the UK policy making process?

Tuesday 30 October, (10.30am for) 11am - 3.30pm
Central London

The event is part of a wider joint project by IPPR North and Carnegie UK Trust that seeks to understand how other countries measure wellbeing with a series of study trips to Canada, France, the State of Virginia and the City of Somerville in the USA.

The event will bring together stakeholders and policy makers from local government, devolved administrations, national government, business and civil society in the UK to hear the findings of the research and to hear first hand from some of the best case study examples identified on the study trips, as well as hearing contributions from key individuals leading on wellbeing here in the UK.

Speakers at this event include Glenn Everitt, Deputy Director, Measuring National Well-being Division, ONS; Bryan Smale, Director, Canadian Index of Wellbeing; Rosalyn Morrison, VP, Community Initiatives, Toronto Community Foundation; and David Signorini, Head of Performance Unit, Scottish Government.

This event is free to attend but booking is essential. To book your place, or for further information, please email
