Account Manager - London Progression Collaboration

IPPR is committed to equality of opportunity. As an organisation engaging in critical debate about a wide range of progressive policy issues, we value the creativity and range of perspectives that a diverse team can provide.

IPPR is looking for a talented Account Manager to work with businesses as part of the London Progression Collaboration (LPC), a major new initiative to create thousands of new apprenticeships in London. A partnership between IPPR and the Greater London Authority and the Mayor of London, the LPC aims to unlock apprenticeship levy funding to transform opportunities for low paid workers in London.

The Account Manager will have responsibility for a portfolio of relationships in either the construction or retail and hospitality sectors, including both large employers and SMEs. Key responsibilities include offering high-quality skills consultancy and intensive practical support to businesses working with the LPC at all stages of the apprenticeship journey, as well as supporting the initial identification and engagement of business prospects.

This is a unique chance for you to be part of an exciting not-for-profit start-up, and work with a talented team to inspire businesses to create new opportunities for workers in London.

To be successful you will need to be committed to working with employers to improve employment and progression opportunities for those who are unemployed or in low skilled jobs; have strong relationship management skills; experience working with external stakeholders; and be able to deliver skills consultancy to businesses which is compelling and effective.

As part of our commitment to flexible working we will consider a range of options for the successful applicant to fill the post, including part-time working and secondment opportunities. All options can be discussed at interview stage.

For an informal chat to find out more about the job and IPPR, contact Anna Ambrose, Director LPC, on 07966 666456 Monday to Thursday.
