Director, IPPR North (Maternity Cover, 6 months FTC)

Over the past decade, IPPR North has built a strong track-record for rigorous, independent research and influence on key issues concerning the Northern economy and society. It has sustained a high profile in national, regional and local policy debates.
The IPPR North team is looking for a Director to cover the current Director’s maternity leave, initially for a period of 6 months. You will build on her considerable success, bring new insights and ideas to deepen and develop the Northern Powerhouse narrative and help develop new perspectives on how to enhance and extend devolution within England.
You will have a track-record of relevant policy research, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an understanding of political processes at local, regional and national levels and excellent team leadership.
