HR Manager (Operations Team)

£40,000 per annum pro rata plus benefits Permanent – (22.5 hours per week)

IPPR’s is looking for an experienced HR Manager to play a key role in its Operations team, delivering a professional and effective HR service to IPPR staff (approx. 40 employees).

This is a true generalist role and the HR Manager will take responsibility for managing the organisation’s HR function at both an operational and strategic level. In addition to managing IPPR’s day to day HR needs, taking responsibility for areas such as recruitment and selection, performance management, payroll and employee relations, you will also take a lead on people projects and support the organisation to deliver its new strategy.

To be successful in this role you will be CIPD qualified and have proven experience of working in a generalist role at a senior level. You will have a good knowledge of current UK employment legislation and HR best practice, with experience of managing and implementing HR policies and procedures. You will have experience managing a busy and varied workload and will be willing to play a hands on role where necessary, applying your excellent HR administration and organisational skills.  In addition you will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and you will be able to apply your exceptional interpersonal skills to deal with sensitive issues and manage internal and external relationships. You will be a flexible, team player who is willing to provide support to the wider operations team.

This is a part time post based in our London office, ideally working 3 days a week (22.5 hours). However as part of our commitment to flexible working we will consider a range of options for the successful applicant to fill the post. All options can be discussed at interview stage.
