Production Editor (Communications Team)
IPPR is looking for an editorial professional to support its industry-leading publishing programme. You will support a strong and established communications team to produce high-quality editorial materials, mostly in the form of research reports, for print and digital publication, as well as maintain the integrity of IPPR’s brand across all our editorial outputs.
In this role, based in IPPR’s busy and expanding office in central Manchester, you will focus on editing, preparing and publishing content for IPPR publications and digital channels, including copyediting, proofreading and layout.
Duties will also include basic typesetting and design work. You will also have responsibilities for updating IPPR’s website, and assisting in the development of new digital and printed outputs and formats.
Editorial and publishing experience, either within an organisation or the publishing industry, is essential, ideally working with detailed and often data-driven research or similar material. Experience in web editing, typesetting, design, and/or data visualisation would be desirable but not essential.
As part of our commitment to flexible working we will consider a range of options for the successful applicant to fill the post. All options can be discussed at interview stage.
