Diversity in the media: Oxford Media Convention 2015

In this debate our panellists consider whether, 14 years after former BBC director general Greg Dyke described the corporation as 'hideously white', progress has been made in terms of diversity in the media. The speakers include Baroness (Oona) King, diversity executive at Channel 4, and radio and TV presenter DJ Nihal who caused waves beyond the conference with his vocal criticism of racial 'silos' at the BBC's music stations, and his concerns about the wider cultural change that still needs to be fought for.
