Biography

Annie is an associate researcher working with the IPPR Commission on Health and Prosperity.

Her research considers the relationship between health and economic outcomes, with a particular focus on vicious cycles of infectious disease and poverty. She also works on quantifying the economic benefits of health policy interventions, including elective waitlist reductions and workforce reform. Her work has been featured in the Guardian, the Independent, the Washington Post, openDemocracy, the British Medical Journal, and the Lancet.

Annie is completing a graduate medical degree at Barts and the London Hospitals, and will begin as a junior doctor at St Thomas’ Hospital in 2023. She combines both skillsets in her role analysing health and public services at IPPR.
