Over a period of three years, IPPR North is looking at the state of civil society and the voluntary sector in the North of England. Read about the key principles and objectives of this programme of work here.
As part of this programme of research, events and think-pieces, we have worked with Durham University to support the development of the Third Sector Trends Study, the only large-scale longitudinal survey of the third sector in the North. Click here to view the report on the North East, here for the North West, and here for Yorkshire and the Humber.
We hope that this programme will help to inform and shape local, regional and national policymaking regarding the role of civil society in the north of England in the future.
This work has been core-funded by the Garfield Weston Foundation.
