Biography
Efua is a research fellow in the work and welfare state team.
Efua is a research fellow, working within the work and welfare state team, with an expertise in participatory and deliberative research methodologies. She is currently leading on the place-based participatory research across the Commission on Health and Prosperity and education.
Efua was a key contributor to the 2022 State of Health and Care report where she analysed the rising needs for mental health services in young people over the COVID-19 pandemic. Her work has been featured in the Guardian and the Independent and she has written for Left Foot Forward.
Prior to IPPR, Efua worked as a constituency coordinator for the European Parliament, researching and campaigning for a European Green New Deal. She has worked as a community organiser and researcher across the charity sector and government advocating for more progressive public policy.
