Alan Lockey
Alan Lockey was prime minister Keir Starmer's chief speechwriter in both 10 Downing Street and, before the 2024 general election, as the leader of the opposition.
Prior to working with Keir, Alan was director of the Future Work programme at the RSA between 2019 and 2022; and director of research at the think tank Demos, between 2017 and 2019. He was also the senior advisor to Tristram Hunt MP, the shadow education secretary 2013-2015 and wrote the Labour party's manifesto in education for the 2015 general election.
He has two small children and his football team, Sunderland, is finally on the up after years of pain.
