Liam joined IPPR in 2022, where he works to ensure the organisation’s research reaches and is understood by the public, the media and policymakers.
He began his career as a journalist before moving into communications and external affairs, working for charities including Action for Children and Turn2us. In these roles, he led media work and built relationships with politicians and their teams.
Liam also served as secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Universal Credit, working with parliamentarians from across the political spectrum.
Outside IPPR, Liam is a trustee of two charities, the Association of Charitable Organisations and the Artemis Trust. He also writes a monthly column for LabourList.
Liam holds an undergraduate degree in history and politics and a master’s degree in journalism.
