Mihir is a principal research fellow at IPPR, where he works on geopolitics, geo-economics, and the UK’s place in a changing world.

In a two-decade career spanning three continents, Mihir has worked in the media, in large think tanks, for multilateral organisations, and in academia. His areas of focus have included infrastructure finance; state capacity and regulatory reform; climate action and diplomacy; economic security and resilient supply chains; development and security in the Indo-Pacific; and China’s footprint in the developing world.

Mihir was trained in economics and political science, and has been a Bloomberg Opinion columnist on global economics and politics for over a decade.
