Ryan is working with IPPR North to support their work on fiscal devolution, regional economic growth, place-based investment and wider local government work on climate action. He is particularly interested in the role of combined and local governments in delivering tangible change for people’s lives, and the policy environment required to empower governments to achieve this, including through devolution of duties and fiscal powers.
