Devo-health: What & why?
Devo-health: What & why?Article
This booklet sets out the context for IPPR’s research on devo-health and the questions which we would like this programme of work to address.
Key findings include:
- At the moment, ‘devo-health’ is more ‘delegation’ than ‘devolution’
- An examination of the risks of devo-health and its potential to improve healthcare across the sector
- Not every area in the UK should take on powers over the NHS.
A huge number of questions still remain, and these will be examined further in this programme of work.
