IPPR is pleased to publish a paper by colleagues at the Dutch think tank, the Wiardi Beckman Institute.
This paper contrasts the two stories that are frequently told about political parties, that they are either moribund with declining membership or have become an oligarchy of policy makers separated from their grassroots. Their analysis will ring bells with those who observe the same problems with political parties in the UK.
