Each of the six papers in this collection sets out the role of a particular type or types of practitioner:

  • an intermediate care practitioner to provide rehabilitation support
  • a telecarer (a health professional able to support patients using the most appropriate communications media)
  • a knowledge broker
  • a lay person as healthcare practitioner
  • a consultant pharmacist and a pharmacy technician
  • a public health leader.
