The UK must go ‘faster, further and fairer’ to combat climate and nature crisis and rebuild economy after the pandemic. IPPR's cross-party Environmental Justice Commission calls on the government to capture the opportunities of decarbonising by setting ambitious 2030 targets and including emissions from imported goods in a drive for zero-carbon future. Billions should be invested in the green recovery, including £5 billion for a ‘Just Transition Fund’, to create good new jobs and transform economy after Covid-19 pandemic.
