Amy Gandon
Associate fellowAmy Gandon is an associate fellow at IPPR.
Amy undertakes research and policy development across a range of public services. She holds an MSc in social policy from the London School of Economics and has experience across five government departments, including advising the Prime Minister and senior officials as the deputy head of public services in the cabinet office.
Her interest lies in shaping a more future-oriented state - one that anticipates and addresses social challenges before they become entrenched. She enjoys bringing her lived experience of Whitehall in exploring how bold ideas can be made practicable within the cultural and institutional constraints of government.
At IPPR, Amy works with the public services team on children's health and public health, but has a broader freelance practice where she works on civil service reform and other aspects of public service reform, welfare, family and equalities policy.
