Regional Growth Programme
IPPR North’s Regional Growth Programme is a multi-year programme of insight, ideas, and advocacy, as part of our work to reduce regional inequality and for people in all regions to live good lives and thrive.
Our mission is to build prosperous, resilient, and sustainable regional economies, offering good lives, high living standards, and access to fulfilling opportunity, all converging over time.
Our programme will shift the UK’s economic narrative to one that emphasises that where growth happens matters, for living standards, growth, and stability. We will produce bold ideas for good regional growth, and build and sustain political support for them.
We plan to develop a new economic narrative, undertake deep public insight to deliver on the public’s priorities for regional growth and living standards, and produce the big-bet ideas across key drivers of growth like transport, innovation, skills, housing, and placemaking. We will use IPPR North’s communication and advocacy expertise to help make the change we seek a reality.
